2024 Literacy Summit and MargaREADa Cocktail Hour
Help the Illinois Early Literacy Coalition plan our strategy and tactics for the next year to maximize our impact for emerging Illinois readers. At this year’s literacy summit, we will assess Illinois’ progress, refine our goals, define our tactics, and kick off the start to another impactful year!

After the working session, we’ll be celebrating the Coalition’s success this year with a “MargaREADa” Happy Hour! Thanks to your relentless advocacy, the Comprehensive Literacy Plan is in place, many schools across Illinois are looking to it as they improve their literacy programs, the Illinois budget includes $3 million for literacy plan implementation, and “learning partners” at Illinois’ lowest-performing schools must align their support to the plan. That’s a lot to celebrate!!
