2024 Illinois Report Card Review

Did you know that with just a few clicks, you can create a scatterplot showing how your school’s 3rd grade literacy scores compare to all IL schools by the rate of low-income students? Or see how successfully students with IEPs have recovered in literacy since the pandemic? Or look at how much literacy growth students are making compared to state averages?

The Illinois Report Card data was released October 30, and we dug into it with Mercedes Wentworth-Nice, a Senior Policy Analyst with Advance Illinois, during our November meeting. If you missed the call, don’t worry! You can find a recording of the Report Card review below. We hope this empowers you to analyze your local school’s data too.
